El Libro Blanco de la UE sobre el deporte (2007) afirmaba claramente el papel social del deporte en la prevenci\u00f3n y la lucha contra la violencia y la intolerancia. La Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Comisi\u00f3n Desarrollar la dimensi\u00f3n europea en el deporte (2011) declara que \"el racismo, la xenofobia y otras formas de intolerancia siguen planteando problemas en el deporte europeo, incluso a nivel aficionado\". Por esta raz\u00f3n, las actividades del proyecto se dirigen a los j\u00f3venes a nivel de base con el fin de tener un impacto en un p\u00fablico amplio utilizando el deporte como medio para la educaci\u00f3n. Estos conceptos fueron recordados por el Plan de Trabajo de la UE para el Deporte (2011-14) en su plan estrat\u00e9gico plurianual. El valor social del deporte se reafirm\u00f3 entonces porque el deporte tiene un papel social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
